Bottle Palm - Hyophorbe lagenicaulis
Medium-sized, solitary palm with a gray, champagne-bottle-shaped trunk that thickens considerably at the base and a sparse crown of 4-6 leathery, v-pinnate, widely recurved leaves. Leaf bases form a slender, green crown shaft on older plants. Young plants have red-margined leaves and petioles. In its native Round lsland (Mascarenes), H. lagenicaulis is nearly extinct; however, it is quite commonly cultivated, especially in the tropics. H. lagenicaulis is quite sensitive to frost and cold and grows rather slowly, but otherwise has no special requirements.
Bottle Palm - seeds propagation
Palm seeds require high temperatures for best germination. Seventy to 100°F is the accepted range, and 85–95°F probably yields the best results. Seed of most palms can be germinated in full sun, though leaves of some species may bleach slightly. Seed of understory palms are best germinated in shade
Bottle Palm - seeds propagation - heat technic
Sow at 1 inch deep in a sand/loam mixture. You can use the bottom heat technic. Keep warm and in bright light. Seeds germinate in 2-6 months, it can be more, don't give up.
