This palm is known for its smooth, straight trunk, which can reach up to 30 meters in height, and its large, feather-like fronds that form a lush, green crown.
The trunk is ringed with distinctive leaf scars, and the crownshaft is often a contrasting shade of green, giving the palm a striking and architectural appearance. Archontophoenix maxima is prized for its rapid growth and its ability to thrive in tropical and subtropical climates. It is often used in landscaping as a specimen tree or in group plantings to create authentic tropical ambiance.
The palm produces clusters of small, cream-colored flowers, which are followed by bright red berries that attract birds and wildlife.
