Dimocarpus longan is an evergreen monoecious tree native to Southeast Asia. It is commonly grown for its edible fruits in tropical / subtropical regions around the world, especially in China, India, Southeast Asia and Australia. Small pale yellow flowers bloom in spring. The fruit in the pendants of the clusters ripens in the summer until almost autumn and is yellow-brown.
